PURIFICATION

Quality Bioresources, Inc. offers a number of purification schemes for your antibodies.
Ammonium Sulfate: QBI will remove proteins by a two-step ammonim sulfate purification protocol. The resulting IgG will be resuspended in PBS, dialyzed extensively, and shipped frozen to the customer.
Caprylic Acid: Caprylic Acid, in the right concentration and at a particular pH, will precipitate most serum proteins EXCEPT IgG. QBI will adjust the pH of your serum, add Caprylic Acid under the proper conditions, and remove the precipitated proteins from the purified IgG. This one step alone often yields >85% purity. In combination with Ammonium Sulfate purification above, >95% purity is common.
DEAE Chromatography: Ion exchange chromatography is an excellent choice as a second step purification of IgG from serum.
Affinity Chromatography: The use of affinity chromatography allows the purification of IgG specific for the antigen of interest.
IgY Purification: IgY can be purified from egg yolk yielding >85% purity.
